Alicia serves as General Counsel and Asset Manager for Schoolfield Properties, Inc. and its related entities. In her more than 15 years with the company, she has advanced through several key positions with increasing responsibility. Currently, she is responsible for both the day to day management of all company owned commercial assets as well as the execution of strategic business plans for each owned property with a focus on maximizing the value of the asset. In addition, Alicia is responsible for providing legal counsel and advice to the company on a broad range of topics including real estate, civil litigation, employment, construction, and administrative law.
Specializing in commercial leasing, real estate transactions, and corporate matters, she also serves a strategic role in the expansion of Schoolfield Properties’ portfolio by overseeing the development of new commercial construction and providing assistance with all aspects of the due diligence process during the acquisition of new properties.
During her career, she has negotiated and closed thousands of commercial real estate leasing transactions, many involving complex business and legal issues. Her transactional experience includes analysis, drafting, and negotiation of commercial leases, vendor agreements, purchase and sales contracts, license agreements, development agreements, utility agreements, ground leases, and easements.
She also works with local governments and other regulatory authorities on issues involving permitting, compliance, zoning, and variances.
